Father God, we thank You this day for extending Your deepest mercies to us, forgiving us, cleansing us, but then keeping us and saving us for Your eternal plan and purpose. Like King David of old, we, too, come to our senses, and fall on our faces, cognizant of Your overarching Presence, but with the incredible Power to blot out our sin and freeing us from being in bondage all our lives. Wash us thoroughly Father, with the washing of the Water of Your Word. Let Your Word cleanse our hearts and minds, so that You keep us in perfect peace as our intentions and affections are fixed upon You. Thank You for helping us to realize that Your Holy Spirit leads us and guides us, but at the same time convicts us of our dire need for Your grace, so that in repentance we return home to You. Sanctify us completely, Father God, in Your Truth. For Your Word is Truth. May we delight to know Your Way, deep within our inner man, as the eyes of our hearts are enlightened by the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. And as King David your Psalmist once cried out, "Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which You had broken may rejoice!" Indeed, Father God, may be truly experience the joy of our salvation. And as we step into the fullness of the glory of God in the face of Christ, may we truly experience the full measure of what it means to be sons and daughters of the Most High God. In Jesus Name.
