  • Father God, we thank You this day for extending Your deepest mercies to us, forgiving us, cleansing us, but then keeping us and saving us for Your eternal plan and purpose. Like King David of old, we, too, come to our senses, and fall on our faces, cognizant of Your overarching Presence, but with the incredible Power to blot out our sin and freeing us from being in bondage all our lives. Wash us thoroughly Father, with the washing of the Water of Your Word. Let Your Word cleanse our hearts and minds, so that You keep us in perfect peace as our intentions and affections are fixed upon You. Thank You for helping us to realize that Your Holy Spirit leads us and guides us, but at the same time convicts us of our dire need for Your grace, so that in repentance we return home to You. Sanctify us completely, Father God, in Your Truth. For Your Word is Truth. May we delight to know Your Way, deep within our inner man, as the eyes of our hearts are enlightened by the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. And as King David your Psalmist once cried out, "Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which You had broken may rejoice!" Indeed, Father God, may be truly experience the joy of our salvation. And as we step into the fullness of the glory of God in the face of Christ, may we truly experience the full measure of what it means to be sons and daughters of the Most High God. In Jesus Name. Amen

  • This is quite a comprehensive and spiritually sound dissertation on the continued use of the KJV rather than today's many interpretations. I would add the point that the reason we have so many new interpretations of the Bible today is a financial one. The KJV is in public domain and therefore offer

This is so important an issue that I will again quote from Edward F Hills' book The King James Version Defended pages 218-219 "But, someone may reply, even if the King James Version needs only a few corrections, why take the trouble to make them? ...

What is intriguing about this, and thanks for the new information re: this Psalm, is that most of those who were living under the curse that shortened their collective life span were not guilty of FABRICATING the lie that led to the curse. Only a few, the spies sent to the land, did that. These peop

  • Posted a new discussion, Live Long!
Live Long!  by Gloria Copeland   The Bible has a lot to say about God's will concerning our life here on the earth—how we are to live and for how long. God has a good, long life planned for us. But without that revelation, when we reach 60 or 70, we may start winding down and getting ready to go. ...

God's protection counter scripture to this Psalm would be; Proverbs 18:10. One of my personal favorites. The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are safe   This passage of Scripture has become very strong in the occupations of Police agencies, Fire and rescue as well ...

  • Replied to the Types of Prayer
I also personally believe praying in the spirit is not only important but beneficial, because the devil doesn't know how to S.I.T., and if your praying in the spirit, your speaking to God in secret. If the devil doesn't know what your saying, he can't steal, kill or destroy your plans

  • Replied to the Types of Prayer
I would add one more type of prayer: Prayer in the Spirit Praying in your heavenly language received with the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the ideal way to pray the perfect will of God as well as to edify your spirit-man.

Type of Prayer Always have you bible out and study and write out your prayer. That way God knows you put you heart into it. These prayers are designed to be blended together. Power is released, when we grant it permissible access by speaking it into existence. In Creation, God had spoken Genesis into being by speaking the Word out of His mouth. Likewise, man has been given creative authority to speak life and death, blessing and cursing. Indeed, life and death is in the power of the tongue. In Romans 10:9-10, we see that even though we may believe in our hearts what we hear with our spiritual discernment, faith can not be activated unless it is spoken out of our mouths. For with our hearts we believe, but with our mouths our confession is reckoned unto salvation. In fact, based upon what the Greek word for salvation encompasses (SOTERIA), we confess with our mouths what we believe in our hearts for: restoration, healing, deliverance, rescue, peace, security, stability, prosperity. 2 Corinthians 4:13 reiterates that it is by the same spirit of faith that we believe, and therefore speak. For example, by boldly confessing Psalm 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, we empower life and blessing into our bodies, not death and cursing. We EMPOWER THE WORD OF GOD INTO ACTION BY THE CONFESSION OF OUR MOUTHS, WHETHER IT BE IN A KNOWN LANGUAGE OR A SUPERNATURAL LANGUAGE--as long as it is God anointing. Isaiah 55:11 prophetically declares that the word which goes forth from our mouths shall not return unto us void, as long as the the Lord our God has commissioned it. Then it becomes HIS WORD! Hallelujah!!

What is intriguing about this, and thanks for the new information re: this Psalm, is that most of those who were living under the curse that shortened their collective life span were not guilty of FABRICATING the lie that led to the curse. Only a few, the spies sent to the land, did that. These people died young not because they created it, but because they BELIEVED it. We need to be very careful about what we deem to be truth in our generation, and not let some purported "Christians" who lack faith, and / or live their lives founded on principles not found to be Biblical. When enabled, these charlatans steal away the promises that apply to our lives and the impact Jesus wants to have in our generation. Questions - Did God instruct them to send the spies that eventually depleted the faith of the nation, or did they do it on their own? Or did He simply allow it to happen to prove what was in the heart of the people? Don't we see another example of this later on when a census of the fighting men was taken? I guess the best example we see of the antithesis of this unbelief was when Jehosaphat's choir won the battle before the troops arrived.
