Few people really want to hear criticism. The wise choose to lean into criticism, knowing that the person who is upset has something valuable for us to learn. What if you could view criticism as an invitation to change something that would draw you closer to the person? Would that change things for you? What if there is a truth that you need to know, and God has divinely orchestrated this encounter for your growth? The next time someone comes to you with a concern, discern whether there is truth that will progressively bring you into the image of Christ (II Corinthians 3: 18).
